Senior Resources - Drivers to Deliver Meals on Wheels

Senior Resources is in need of volunteer drivers for our Meals on Wheels program. We need to add another route as the need for meals for seniors in are community has grown. We currently have 4 routes with each route containing approx. 18 meals to be delivered from Trinity Muscatine, and 1 route from Lutheran Homes. A lunch time meals is delivered Monday thru Friday from both locations. We need to expand and add one more route coming out of Trinity- which in turn will decrease amount on each route and also enable us to reach more homebound seniors in need of a nutritious lunch time meal. This also provides and “extra check” on the senior to make sure they are OK.

This is a much needed service and a great community activity. Meals are delivered starting at 10:45 and it takes about an hour to do a route. We also have 2 routes that go out on Saturday morning if you could not deliver thru the week. Very flexible on scheduling. All new volunteers train with current volunteers. You can deliver twice a month, once a week or whatever works into your schedule.

10-14 NEW DRIVERS NEEDED ASAP!!!!!

Please consider this much needed service as it is a great way to give back to your community and be involved in a exciting volunteer opportunity. To volunteer or for more information please call Diane McCleary at 263-7292 or email at DianeMcCleary@sr-resources.org. Thank you!
