NEW VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES!!!

Welcome to the Real World (RW) Simulation:

The Muscatine High School is offering the "Welcome to the Real World Financial Simulation" this year for the upcoming freshman class. It is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25th. Volunteers are needed for 3 hours beginning at Noon on Wednesday. They are looking for approximately 53 additional volunteers this year, and need your help!

Salvation Army - Cooks Needed

The Salvation Army is looking for individuals to cook or assist with cooking meals. Twice a week (Monday and Friday), the Salvation Army serves an afternoon meal for area residents in need. If you enjoy cooking or assisting in the kitchen and have some time to spare, they would welcome your assistance.

Volunteers are able to sign up according to their availability: once a month, one time only, as a group or as an individual. For additional information please phone Captain Ray @263-8272.

Senior Resources - Drivers to Deliver Meals on Wheels

Senior Resources is in need of volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels. Requirements are a valid driver's license and a caring heart. Volunteers deliver a hot lunch time meal to area seniors in need. You can deliver as many or as few times per month that works into your schedule. Volunteers arrive at Trinity Muscatine to pick up meals and info around 10:30am and it takes about an hour to deliver a route. Drivers - Transporting Individuals To Their Medical Appointments

Muscatine County needs caring individuals willing to transport local residents to their medical appointments. The volunteer must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Driver's are reimbursed for mileage, at the rate of $0.40 mile.
