"The United Way has helped...the community in so many ways and I am proud to support the United Way..."

An Agency

I wanted to thank you for your efforts during the Mini Day of Caring on June 1st, 2011.  That group of 10th grade High School students that you assigned to us, worked their tails off to get some much needed projects completed.

Our group completed the following tasks:

    *Scrubbed, cleaned & rinsed the Walk in Cooler & Freezer ( this was a priority job, since all the food for Summer Camp was being delivered on Wednesday & those walk-ins were in really bad shape)

    *Cleaned 5 other smaller coolers & freezers in the Dining Hall

    *Took the shingles off of our Archery shed & disposed of all the waste in the dumpsters

    * ran a drill press to drill holes in some 80 shelf brackets  (these were later installed in some cabinets that    same day)

    * took loads of debris to our burn pile

    * painted 23 picnic tables

Since I work with young people every day, it did not surprise me that this group would be able to complete their projects.

The only thing that our young people need is a venue to show their willingness to serve their community. Thank you for helping to provide that opportunity for them and for us.

A RECIPIENT

I would like to thank the United Way from the bottom of my heart for your assistance in helping me recover from the financial toll experienced from the flood of 2008.  You have no idea the weight that has been lifted from my shoulders.  The United Way has helped and assisted the community in so many ways and I am proud to support the United Way with a yearly donation through my work.
