What is LINCS about?

  • Provide information to call-in customers on how they receive assistance with their needs
  • Interview and refer walk-in customers to services
  • Follow-up with clients/customers on the referrals made
  • Follow-up with organizations where customers are referred
  • Maintain a data base of services for service providers to access when needing assistance for their clients

The purpose of the Kids First fund is to provide funding for students in the Muscatine Community School District who have a need as identified by an MCSD employee. Some of the things the Kids First fund has covered are shoes, clothing, gas for college visits, school supplies, and activity fees.

Some Kids First Fund Facts:

  • Need based.
  • Fast response (24-48 hour turnaround time in most cases).
  • Simple application process.
  • Requests under $50 are anonymous.
  • Requests over $50 involve coordination of services with area agencies.
  • Applications flow through school administrators.
